The governorship ambition of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, at the weekend, received a boost with the backing and endorsement of Senator Arthur Nzeribe.

Senator Nzeribe, who described Ihedioha as an honest, fit and experienced man to lead Imo State to the promised land, said he was in total support of the deputy speaker’s governorship ambition and would stop at nothing to ensure that the ambition was actualised.

He said: “Let me assure everybody here and the entire Imo State that we are in total support of Chief Emeka Ihedioha’s quest to govern the state and I will stop at nothing towards ensuring that he becomes the next governor of the state in 2015.”

Nzeribe, who said he had been following the activities of the deputy speaker in the House of Representatives, recalled that he had invited him in 2012 to contest for the governorship of the state to arrest the current decay in the state. He expressed his happiness that the deputy speaker had finally heeded his call.
