Eagles battle ready for Ghana

The Super Eagles are simply battle ready for today’s international friendly against Ghana and everything points to the team putting smiles on the faces of Akwa Ibomites and their visitors who have flooded the city of Uyo for the inauguration of the Uyo international stadium venue of the match.

During yesterday’s work out that lasted almost three hours, Eagles perfected their strategies in the areas of quick counter attack, fast breaks, robust defending and the need to avoid unnecessary infringements.

Assistant Coach, Dan ‘the Bull’ Amokachi, effectively took charge of the training session in the absence of the big boss, Stephen Keshi who as at last night was yet to join the team. It is not yet clear if Keshi will be on the bench today. Apart from established professionals like Chigozie Agbim, Azubuike Egwueke, Christian Osagunna Ighodalo and Gbolahan Salami, there was an excitement in the play of Enyimba of Aba midfielder, Kingsley Isokari and Glo premier league hot shot Mfom Udoh. Udoh who was on target for Enyimba last weekend has vowed to make history in today’s game with goals. The Akwa Ibom born striker is no doubt at home.
