Gov. Fashola Buys N600 Million Bullet Car for Tinubu, Self
While the conflict on the purchase of the N255million by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, for the Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, a Ghanaian based website has alleged that Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola purchased three sport utility vehicles, SUV, with special specifications valued at N600million.
The website Modern Ghana Web alleged that Fashola bought the two special SUVs for himself and his political godfather and APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The website quoted a Source which identified that the state government bought three bullet proof cars- Jeeps- with bomb detector apparatus and surveillance cameras.
The Modern Ghana Web in its investigative report claimed that findings revealed that two of the purchase are with Governor Fashola for official usage as the helmsman of Lagos state. Asiwaju Tinubu is said to have one to his name as party leader.
The brand of the bullet proof cars is identified as Toyota Prado Jeep. The cost of each jeep- including handling, registration, insurance and other fees- is two hundred million naira. The three jeeps are valued at six hundred million naira.
The cars are customized- by special order.
It is however believed that the Lagos state government footed the bill for the cars.

Insiders revealed that the two political figures have not gone public with their jeeps. Efforts by Scan-News to verify the purchase from the office of the Lagos State Governor are yet to yield results. Scan News will update you as soon as the response comes from the Lagos State Government to the investigative report of the Ghanaian website.
An online commentator, Phil Smart has expressed worry over the silence of APC leaders of this allegation by the Ghanaian website that investigated the Lagos State Governor.
