Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State, is lying prostrate, in ut­ter ruins. It is in shackles, bruised and battered. And no one seems to care. Worse still, the residents have been cowed. So, they see no evil and speak no evil because they are afraid of the son of a top elected official in the state nicknamed Whirlwind.

Tom-Ikimi quits ApcThe Former National Chairmanship Aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Tom Ikimi,  has announced his withdrawal from the political party.

His participation in the party has been limited since the National Convention of the party in June which produced Mr John Oyegun as the party’s national chairman.

Cameroonian footballer dies after being struck by object thrown from stands

Cameroonian striker Albert Ebosse has tragically died after being struck in the head by an object thrown from the stands during an Algerian league game.

Ebosse, who had scored a goal in the match, was fatally struck by a projectile at the end of JS Kabylie’s game against USM Alger, which his club ended up losing 2-1.
